1-on-1 Coaching on your book from Literary Agent Leah Pierre

Meet with a personal writing coach and get the critical feedback, advice, editing, and regular doses of accountability you need to finish your book.

If group coaching programs aren't your thing, or if you're looking for a more intimate way to hone your craft, a 1-on-1 is for you. One, three or six session mentoring program with a sought-after coach with decades of experience in the publishing industry, could save you years of additional work and self doubt and put you on the fast track to (finally) finishing your writing.

Learn what's not working in your book, what changes could make it better, and leave with actionable next steps to help you publish your best work.

How It Works

You will meet with your coach every other week for the duration of your program. Each session includes:

  • 45 minutes 1-on-1 with an experienced literary agent with years of experience
  • Tips on how to create a book outline and structure that flows
  • Insight into understanding what's working in your story—and what's not
  • Critique to help you improve your writing craft—including characters, plot, and dialogue
  • A roadmap of actionable steps you can take to see real progress

The Details

Once you purchase your coaching package, we'll email you within 2 business days to schedule the date and time of your first meeting, and to chat about any specific requirements or requests you have.

We'll also send you an intake form, which will involve questions surrounding your mindset, what you're looking to accomplish, and what you feel is standing in your way. You'll need to fill this out and send it back to us at least 5 days before your meeting so that your coach has a chance to review it thoroughly.

At the time of your meeting, you coach will contact you by Zoom to dive right in!

You'll walk away with excellent insight from a professional about how to stay motivated, build creative confidence, and write your book or other work!

About Leah Pierre

A Texas native, Leah briefly moved to the East Coast to attend Rosemont College to pursue her dream of working in publishing. Not long after graduating with her B.A. in English and History, Leah found an agency home at Ladderbird Literary Agency where she has grown to become a Senior Agent. Leah has since gone on to pursue and receive her M.A. in Publishing from her alma mater. And having accomplished her dream of working in publishing, she moved back to Texas to begin her next adventure and continue searching for the next PB, YA, or Adult project that will hook her (or make her cry).

Leah likes to spend her time enjoying the company of fictional characters more than people. But when not in the company of fictional characters, she likes to crochet, travel, hang out with friends and family, and catch up on the movies and tv shows she is always behind on.

Her projects include forthcoming books from H.D.Hunter, Ravynn K. Stringfield, Kay Sohini Sen, a number of IP projects, and more! She is a tenacious advocate for BIPOC writers and is always looking for ways to bring more diverse intersectionality to the publishing industry.
