Number of Sessions

Do you identify as a marginalized voice? Work with your personal writing coach to get invaluable feedback, accountability to keep writing, and the advice & guidance you need to finish your book.

If you're looking for a private mentor to help you hone your craft, 1-on-1 coaching is for you. A 3- or 6-month mentoring program with Beth Marshea, a sought-after literary agent, could save you years of additional work and self doubt and put you on the fast track to (finally) finishing your book.

Learn what's not working in your story, what changes could make it better, and leave each session with actionable next steps to help you advocate for your work as a marginalized voice, and publish your best work.

How it Works

Over the course of 3 or 6 months you will meet with Beth every other week for a total of 6 or 12 sessions. Each session includes the following:

  • Send up to 5,000 words of your book to Beth, who will read and digest your work for discussion.
  • Meet for 45 minutes 1-on-1 with a seasoned literary agent.
  • Get insight into what's working in your story—and what's not
  • Receive compassionate critique to help you improve your writing craft—including characters, plot, and dialogue.
  • Get a roadmap of actionable steps you can take to advocate for your work and see real progress toward publishing.
